Troy Anicete
A San Francisco native, Troy was the 25th Mr. San Francisco Leather. Active in the scene since the days when a playful nipple tug was a greeting, he entered his first leather bar—The Brig (now The Powerhouse)—at 18, paving the way for fellow Asian kinksters.
Troy began his tailoring career at Image Leather before moving to Los Angeles in 1987, where he launched Troy Anicete Designs and worked with Mikal “Daddy Zeus” Bales at Zeus Studios. His designs outfitted IML champions Guy Baldwin (1989), Patrick Smith (2015), and many others. For over 30 years, Troy has redefined leather fashion with his motto “March to the Beat of Your Own Drum,” a reflection of his bold, original, and detail-driven style. He remains a sought-after designer and mentor, supporting leather contests nationwide.
Now based in New York City, Troy works full-time as a designer. His custom pieces are also featured on Broadway in Operation Mincemeat and Stranger Things.
He is proud to participate in the Mr. Eagle NYC 2026 Contest and wishes all contestants the best of luck.
