Daddy Sage Onyx

For almost five decades, Daddy Sage ONYX has been an integral part of the LGBTQ+ community. He started his journey as a dancer and choreographer, leaving his mark on esteemed companies, theaters, and films worldwide.

In the early 1980s, he stepped up to address the HIV/AIDS crisis, providing vital assistance to countless individuals globally—efforts that continue to this day. This enduring commitment has earned his ICON status among Black and Brown individuals, both within and outside the Leather and Ballroom spheres.

Daddy Sage’s dedication knows no bounds. He tirelessly worked to educate, offer services, and shape policies that resonated locally, across nations, and continents. These experiences exposed him to diverse perspectives, including those within the leather and kink communities. For nearly twenty years, Daddy Sage has been a driving force in the leather community. Volunteering, Speaking, and Educating at multiple events around the world.

For the past two years, he has been serving as the president of ONYX New York Northeast, leading an organization committed to aiding Black and people of color as they delve into, educate themselves about, and fully embrace their interests within the realms of kink, Leather, and BDSM. His distinctive flagging of hunter green, blue, fuschia, and gray reflects his identity and journey.

Yet, beyond the symbols lies a steadfast mission—to uplift the BlPOC community through unwavering spirit, resilience, and genuine kindness. Daddy Sage’s legacy serves as a beacon, casting light on a path toward progress and empowerment.
